В период с 7 по 8 июня во Владивостоке на острове Рейнеке перед началом летнего сезона пройдет двухдневная акция по уборке накопившегося мусора и бытовых отходов, названная «Остров Мечты». Волонтеры, принимающие участие в субботнике прибудут на остров с утра и планируют распределиться вдоль береговой полосы Пригородное, Штукино, Ракушка, Центральный и вдоль дорог, которые ведут по направлению к пляжной зоне. Основной целью организации этого мероприятия является очистка территории острова и ликвидация стихийно возникающих свалок, а также предотвращение их образования в дальнейшем.

Партнерами предстоящего субботника предоставляется баржа, на которой планируется перевезти на остров всех желающих принять участие в акции, а также собранного мусора на материк. Предполагается, что мусор и отходы будут собираться раздельно: стекло, пластик, железо, и пр. После сортировки мусор будет отправлен на переработку, а тот, который не подлежит переработке — на полигон.

Кроме транспортировки, организаторы мероприятия предусмотрели ночлег для волонтеров на базе Тинро-центра, а также доставку питания и прохладительных напитков. Участники будут обеспечены всеми средствами, необходимыми для уборки. Все жители города, которым небезразлична чистота региона и которые близко к сердцу воспринимают проблему экологии, приглашаются принять участие в субботнике. Сбор участников назначен на 7 июня на Маяке, откуда в 8-30 по местному времени отойдет баржа, обратно они прибудут 8 числа ближе к вечеру.
