На сегодняшний день знаменитый бренд не может открыть свои двери для жителей Приморья в силу нескольких причин, о которых говорят с августа 2013 года. Во-первых, сложность заключается в проблемах с логистикой. Во-вторых, сильную конкуренцию компании составила хабаровская сеть «Невада». Но, по заявлению губернатора Приморья Владимира Миклушевского, администрация региона старается привлечь на территорию края максимальное количество торговых сетей с тем, чтобы снизить стоимость продуктов питания, товаров первой необходимости.

Стоит напомнить, что договор о сотрудничестве был подписан в сентябре прошлого года, но ничего не изменилось несмотря на то, что ритейлер хотел бы работать на Дальнем Востоке. Оксана Токарева, руководитель по корпоративным и внешним коммуникациям «Метро Кэш энд Керри», рассказала о том, что сейчас компания решает вопрос о поставке овощей, мяса и свежих фруктов из регионов центральной России. Пока этот вопрос не будет решен положительно, Метро в Приморье не появится.

Несмотря на то, что «добраться» до Приморья компания так и не смогла, хотя и хочет этого, она открыла 7 новых торговых центров на западе России. Но пока немцы обдумывают сложившееся положения, «Невада» запланировала в Приморье создание производственно-распределительного центра. Так что же будет с Метро? Или его не будет в Приморском крае?
